Being angry takes a lot of work

When you are too dumb
to know you are dumb,
you are still dumb.
The earth is flat,
John John never dies,
babies are snacks
for movie stars and
welcome back polio,
better to let kids
die than save
them with science.

Angry takes work.
I admire those who
hate everyone, every waking
hour, the scheduling it must take
to stay organized. Let’s see,
at 9:00 I hate gays, then at
11:00 I rant on any woman
not raising four kids
and vacuuming floors
in a dress and pearls.

But at 1:00 I just must
move on to Mexicans,
trans kids and cross dressers.
So many people make me angry,
so little time to hate them all.

The creatures of darkness
wield faith like a two-edged sword,
sharpened to a glittering…
