Greetings Adeyinka, I know it sounds simplistic but when I first started doing this exercise it hit me quickly how valuable it was. My first real paid writing job was as a journalist and in my classes we were introduced to great journalistic writing exactly this way, we read it, then wrote out the first three paragraphs, the grabber we call it now but the lead as it is known in old school journalism.
