Hi Kerstin, here is a must do suggestion from your long distance friend; get these two books by Julis Cameron, Write for Life, and the Artist's Way, and do the exercises, especially her morning pages. A professor in my journalism years got me started on writing a morning journal and I have used various forms ever since including carrying a writing notebook whenever I am out and about on my own. Cameron takes it to another level and I reread her stuff just last month and switched to her three page format to mix it up. She says it better than I do but I do feel more like a writer when I do it daily. Another thing I struggled with was what I was writing. I have a friend who wanted to be a poet, but his David Sedaris style essays were far superior to his poetry. I write better daily when I write what I want to write, not what I think I need to write, but again Cameron's books might help you with that too, it certainly did for me. Yes, you are a writer momentarily not writing as much as you want, an easy fix my friend. T
