Hi Kevin, gracious note and much appreciated. This poem is actually about a man named Dave Draper (look him up if you find the time), who just passed away a few weeks ago, and his wife Laree, who also happens to be my book publisher. Dave was at one time one of the most famous body builders in the world, pre Arnold. I have a picture of him standing on Muscle Beach in Santa Monica with Sharon Tate sitting on his shoulder talking to the famous actor of that day Tony Curtis. HIs glory days faded, yet he never seemed to move much past who he had been. His wife simply took care of him both physically as his health faded in the late years and financially. I wanted to honor her but also go for a bigger picture. I am glad this one resonated with you Kevin, kind words and you put a smile on my face this morning. Thom
