Hi Maureen, I am somewhat amazed by the number of people of all ages who want to write, but don't spend any time learning about how the process works, especially the poets. But I think it is a mindset that exists in most human actives. I taught ski school for a decade and was shocked how many people came to ski, never took a lesson, and just beat themselves up for a few days trying to copy friends who never took a lesson either. I don't need lessons, I can figure this out on my own is a harmful way to go through life. One of my early degrees was in journalism and I can say going back to school changed my writing as only good professors and coaches can do, despite my early training. You want to write? Get some professional help. You want to be good? Submit to the process and challenge yourself by learning the basics. Thoughtful note Maureen, thank you so much. Thom
