Hi my friend, so nice to hear from you Pablo. You offer a most thoughtful note here. I do think most of the world today can't function or communicate unless it is through a text. I saw two twenty something people sitting in a cafe last week texting each other. The only difficult part I find in the getting older thing is those under forty or so don't think anyone over 60 has anything to offer as to wisdom or guidance. Out of touch, not that way anymore, we aren't like that boomer man seems to be the mantra. I still teach workshops full of these ages and it takes an hour or so before they lean in and realize someone older than your father might offer something to help them with their lives. I too went back to school for a two year graduate writing program, finishing in late 2023. I didn't hide my age but it was apparent from the notes between all of us in each class I might have lived a lot longer. One class we were discussing the Beats and San Francisco in the 80s and I mentioned that I met Lawerence Ferlinghetti in the City Lights, the guy who published How for Ginsberg. One guy asked in our online discussion, how old are you dude? Thanks for stopping by Pablo. Thom
