Hi Orla, I think understanding the expected outcome from your writing might be the key to longevity in a writing career. How many writers do ;you see on Medium that writer everything for a year, then disappear because they aren't doing big money each month? Writers that last are the ones who eventually find they write each day because it is the same as eating or breathing for them, part of their existence and something they must do. Would I like to publish a book of poetry that sells thousands of copies? Of course, but knowing that is a slim chance, one I still attempt but understand it may never happen, still doesn't stop me from writing everyday, sitting at my desk, and enjoying the process because I can't imagine even one day without scribbling down something. Thanks for the read Orla/ Keep thinking and keep writing. and maybe think about how writing makes you feel as the key for any decision. Thom
