Hi Pablo, I do think two separate accounts would be a good idea. I like maintaining separate brands and identities. I do not think you need a different persona, just Pablo in English and in Spanish. You could even publish the same articles in each language if you wanted. Just be you offering your work in two different formats.

There is a book I love by Mark Helprin called, “The Pacific,” which is a book of short stories. If I was chasing a fiction career I would use the short story as a beginning point. They are like writing a mini novel if you think about it; characters, the setup, the story and the powerful ending. This forces you to create everything you would need later in a briefer and more intense format. I mentioned this because I think these, along with poetry, would be a good mix to start on Medium.

Poetry is a good outlet for creativity and sometimes I think I do it just to protect my sanity, but there is a craft to it I admire in the good writers and poetry is a worthy goal on its own, so would you practice it as a distraction or as a long term plan trying to get good at the craftsmanship?
