Hi Rita, thoughts? My real life has always been in the fitness world and I saw early that those who had young minds usually were the ones that did everything else to live young no matter how old they were chronologically. They ate better, moved more, hung out with younger people, were constantly learning and challenging themselves, and simply embraced a young forever mentality. As I get older, I see the contrast even more now. My brother is still where we grew up, and my old high school classmates are still there, but when I see pictures they seem a decade older than my friends the same age from my ski life or fitness life. Yes, I think you are right Rita, the mind sets it all in motion. Two good books I just read I think you might like. The first is Stage, Not Age by Golden. It is sort of a business book but her stats and the way she talks about aging is a much read for anyone like us who know once you get over 50 the world tries to stuff you in an age box. The other is Being Mortal by Gawande, a book I made my daughter read, but discusses aging a a level I wish everyone understood. Sorry abut the long response, Thank you Rita. T
