HI Shereen, If I understand your question correctly, then yes, to me, the characters you create have to have some life in them, flaws and all. We use our imagination to create a character that never before existed, but to me the reader, he or she has to come to life, have some depth, some connection to feelings and issues I understand. The fiction I put down early always has shallow characters, easily predictable, and faint images of what someone might be like in the real world.
