Hi Steve, well said and true. Read some Raymond Carver short stories. They are usually based upon people he knew when he grew up or encountered in life. Fiction, but he reveals much about who he was and how he lived in each story. Your characters can express much of who you are, but still let you hide in plain sight behind the work. Thoughtful post Steve, and maybe self-realization is the first step toward better writing. Thom
