HI Thief, I do hope they find their way again, this company did so many things write but I could never understand why so cheap? My advice would be the same, return to your roots but charge real world money and make it a true writer's site where you can get help. I would guess my friend you have already explored it but the Gotham Writers has an interesting model I think could be incorporated into this one providing the support, and extra revenue, that might make this thing work.
