Hello Future, it’s me, one who never believed in you
Hello Future, it’s me.
You may not remember me,
I am the guy who never believed
in you, who thought you were
make believe, like a pink unicorn
or a truthful politician, something
fabricated to keep the low IQ folks
dancing to your twisted needs.
I was told you were out there,
old people threatened me
with your wickedness every day…
just you wait and see they screamed,
someday even you will have to grow up.
Obviously, I made you mad. Now
you are chasing me like a puppy
drooling for a new green tennis ball,
you peeking out from a picture of me,
who can’t be me, that guy is too old,
too tired, just too much of too many
yesterdays in the relic of a face.
I never believed in you Future because
you were endless when I was young…
why worry about your children,
the endless Tomorrows of the world,
when they all…
