Overslept… grumpy ass me… oh, forgot to set the phone…
tripped over dog… bruised knee… haven’t even peed yet…
spilled tea on keyboard… get the hairdryer…
wrote bad poetry… blame computer… bad computer…
water heater screaming death… $2,000 before noon…
dogs whining as I attempt to type… walk us, now old man… pouring rain…
stepped in dog poop… cold rain down neck… shoes soaked…
wrote more bad poetry… maybe it is me… maybe take up pickleball…
work out to change attitude… dropped kettle bell on foot…
hot shower… forgot towel… old man in mirror scared me…
dropped wine glass in sink… full… can this day get worse…
a close friend’s wife called… we hadn’t talked in a few months…
he died last night she whispered, his heart they think…
my wife hands me a glass… tears on my face… kisses my head…
when nothing is right everything might be perfect…
