Finding who you are and who you were meant to be
There were fifteen of them sitting around in a circle, all facing me at the end of a long day in a long work shop. I usually end all my teaching events that same way; I take them out of the work shop environment and let relax and ask me the questions that didn’t get answered, or often questions completely unrelated to our day but important to each one of them.
I have been a personal coach for over forty years of my life, the one who helps others find their way forward in business, and in their lives, so the questions I get when anyone has a chance to get in from of me can represent a person stuck in some stage of life looking for guidance as to how to get on with who he or she is and end some period of frustration.
This group had a few over fifty, but most were in their twenties up to mid-thirties, that time in life where you realize, or should realize, most of what got you to this point in your journey is not nearly good enough to get you further down the road.
Early life prepares you for survival, but seldom does anyone get near forty without having to do a total reassessment of who they are, what they believe, and what they want from the experience of being them. That final break into an adulthood where you are at peace, and find…
